  21. Before replacing any chips, press down on all the socketed chips.  It 
  22. could be that one loosened up over time.  If one does need to be 
  23. replaced, I would guess the character ROM.  Seems to be the only chip 
  24. that would mess up a character and yet still allow everything else to 
  25. function correctly.
